Good afternoon Varennes folks! We would like to invite your 5th graders to visit RAMS on March 13, as a way to help ease the transition from elementary to middle school. We would need the students to arrive by 11:30 that morning, and we would conclude our time with them at 1:30. During this time, we will introduce our related arts and 6th grade teachers to the students, give them a tour of the school, and let them hear from current students about how they can prepare for middle school and what to expect next year at RAMS. We’ll also use this time to go over the registration forms and will be sending those back to the schools with the teachers to send home that afternoon with the 5th graders.
We will provide the buses necessary to bring your students to and from RAMS. If possible, please let me know by this Friday, February 23, if you’re interested in bringing your students to visit that day, and provide an estimated head count so that we can make arrangements for buses. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. We look forward to meeting our next group of RAMS students!
We will participate in a 5th Grade Move Up Day at Robert Anderson Middle School on Wednesday, March 13th from 11:30-1:30 (see more information below from Ms. Mickel). Here is some information that you need to know- please read.
Bus transportation will be set up by Robert Anderson.
You will all eat a bagged lunch in your classrooms at 10:30 and be ready to load the bus at 11:00 at the back bus loop. Ms. Smith has agreed to the early lunchtime and bagged lunches.
Please make a copy of the permission slip packet here and submit it for review by Tuesday, February 27th. After the permission form is approved, please prepare to send home with fifth grade students on Wednesday, February 28th. All permission forms need to be submitted by Friday, March 8th. All permission forms will be turned in to the front office.
