Principal

 

 

 Mrs. Barr attended Lander University where she earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. She also graduated from Anderson University in 2016 with a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision.  

 

Mrs. Barr began her journey at Varennes in January 2021. She previously served as one of the Assistant Principals at Nevitt Forest Elementary. Mrs. Barr also taught 5th-grade and served as Instructional Facilitator during her tenure at Nevitt Forest. Mrs. Barr was awarded Anderson School District Five District Teacher of the Year in 2016-2017. This is Mrs. Barr's third full year at Varennes.

 

Mrs. Barr says, “Working as an educator has been a dream come true and I am thankful I can fulfill this dream every day.”  

 

Mrs. Barr is married to Joseph Barr. Together they have one son, Jaxon, and a dog, Cinnamon. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, dancing, and crafting.
