Mrs. Tate is a 2007 graduate of Albany State University with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She went on to earn her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction (2010) and Educational Specialist (EdS) degree in Teaching and Learning, both from Augusta State University. She has taught all over the southeast, including in Georgia for seven years, Tennessee for two years, and in South Carolina for two years. In this time, she has taught multiple grade levels. This is her 15th year in education. 
 
Mrs. Tate previously served for three years as Varennes'  Reading Coach. She was also named the 2019-2020 Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Tate has been married to her husband, James, for five years, and they have two children (Ayden and Isabelle). She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking new recipes, and catching up on her favorite TV shows. And, oh yeah, of course she loves to read a good book.
